Investment Bill Judicial Review: Questioning for Indonesia’s Development Ideology

Tuesday (6/10), constitution court organizes the third session for investment bill judicial review. The session agendas are to examine explanation from government, parliament, and from supplicant observer. On that session, Federation of Indonesian Peasant Union (FSPI) with other nine organizations which come together as Gerak Lawan are being recorded as supplicant for the registered case number 21/PUU-V/2007.

The impact of global warming has led to exaggerate of natural damage and threat to humanity. However global warming is not a cause, but a consequence. Global warming is consequences from economic development model with capitalistic-neo liberal character, or like our founding fathers stated as neo colonialism-imperialism.

The 2007 First Revised National Budget (APBN-P) Wasn’t Stand for The Peoples.

The governments policy to add new debt agreement on 2007 first revised national budget ( APBN-P ) was clearly brought misery on peoples life. 2,8 trillion rupias of new debt is a prove that the government has denied its promised to put over the dependency toward foreign debts.

Central Java’s peasants ask the government to immediately redistribute the land

SEMARANG – more than 800 peasants over Central Java which involved as Central Java Peasants Union (SP-Jateng) in collaboration with Federation of Indonesia Peasant union FSPI came to central java people assembly building. 10.000 Peasants Demand for an Agrarian Reform

BANDUNG – Around 10.000 peasants from West Java fill the Gasibu Square, Bandung (19/6). The peasants from Pasundan Peasant Union (SPP) who are the members of Federation of Indonesian Peasant Union (FSPI) demanding to local government of West Java to be pro active in responding the National Program on Agrarian Reform (PPAN) and immediately distribute the land reform object land to the peasant. The peasants come from SPP bases in Garut, Tasikmalaya and Ciamis.
